The first step in obtaining an AD code for export is to get an AD code from your bank

The first drama starts when you approach your Bank for an AD code because they provide it. In my case, they have told me that I have to open an export account and it’s not possible to provide an AD code with an existing Current account. However, this is not the truth they have sold a new current account to me and provided the AD code (Authorized deal code ).

The second step is to apply on the Ice Gate portal for get your AD code approved

The most crucial step of export is to get your AD code approved on the customs portal which is popularly known as the Ice Gate. You need to create an account there using your digital signature class-III. Once it’s created you have to upload the desired documents like PAN, EIC, GST, AD code certificate, and Adharcard in a single PDF. And then the game started of pendency in my case it took two months and still it was pending, finally I contacted a CHA who is in Mumbai and he has helped me, undoubtedly he has charged me a small amount. Single approval of AD code for all ports

For those who have doubts, I would like to clarify that a single AD code approval in any of the port of India is valid for all the ports and you need not take approvals for all the ports, For example, if your AD code is approved from the Bangalore, but you can export from any port of India and you need not take any separate approval. You just need to take care of one thing that is if you want an export incentive then you need to take a bank account approved from all the ports separately, specifically from the port from where you are exporting.
